BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College and Wilmington University men’s basketball coaches will each wear outfits supporting the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Weekend when the two teams meet at Concordia on Saturday.
The American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches hold the event every year. Coaches who participate wear the appropriate suits and sneakers instead of dress shoes during the weekend’s games.
Coaches vs. Cancer members have raised more than $87 million in the last twenty years for cancer research.
The game tips off at 3 p.m., Saturday, after the conclusion of the Concordia women’s team’s game at the Meyer Athletic Center.
