Bronxville Track Star Cain Sixth At World Meet

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Bronxville High School super sophomore track star Mary Cain continued to put on dazzling performances with another strong showing in Barcelona, Spain.

Cain finished sixth in the finals of the 1,500 meter race at the International Association of Athletics Federation World Junior Championships. The stellar sophomore clocked a personal best time of 4:11.01.

Kenyan runner Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon again placed first with a time of 4:04.96, nearly three full seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Cain finished a little more than a full second behind Great Britain’s Jessica Judd, who clocked in at 4:09.93.
