The Bronxville School celebrated the success of the fall teams, including the girls cross country team, which won its sixth consecutive Class C state championship. Team members Courtney Campbell and Emilie Hoffer earned the distinction of being the first cross country runners in the state to win five state championships. On the boys side, senior John Flannery won both the county and sectional championships in the span of one week and then finished second at states.
The girls soccer team won the Class B state championship for the fourth year in a row, and Coach Don Cupertino earned his 350th win. The boys' soccer team appeared in the Class B sectional finals for the sixth time in eight years, and the football team made it to sectional semifinals before losing to a tough Rye Neck team, which went all the way to the state final before losing 28-27 to Chenango Forks. Girls' field hockey had a great season (10-5-2) before suffering a very difficult triple overtime loss in the sectional semifinals.
Girls swimming had its best season in a decade, losing only one meet to powerhouse Ursuline. Finally, the girls' tennis team had a solid 4-4 finish in a league that is not only the best in the section, but arguably also the best in the state.
So far this fall, twelve Broncos have been awarded All-State recognition, 15 have been named All-Section, and 62 Broncos have been given All-League awards. The award winners are listed below.
