The New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) sponsors the All-State Conference each year for high school juniors and seniors. Schetlick sings with the Bronxville High School Chorus and the school’s select chorale. She is also a 12-year member of the choir program of the Reformed Church of Bronxville. A veteran of eight Bronxville High School Drama Department productions, she will appear in the high school’s spring production of Sweeney Todd.

Schetlick sang in honor ensembles in the 2013 and 2014 Area All-State Festivals and at the 2014 Organization of American Kodály Educators (OAKE) Conference and was recently named to the 2015 All-Eastern Mixed Chorus. She studies piano, conducting and musicianship at the Hoff-Barthelson Music School in Scarsdale. Thoms, a voice student of Sharyn Pirtle at Christ Church, Bronxville, sings with the Bronxville High School Chorus. At Christ Church, she sings with the Christ Church Choir and participates in the Young at Arts STARS music program. She will also appear in the Bronxville High School spring production of Sweeney Todd.

Pamela Simpson, director of the Bronxville High School Chorus, helped prepare both singers for their respective All-State auditions.

More than 6,500 sophomores and juniors throughout the state auditioned for All-State at their local NYSSMA solo festivals last spring, performing solos and sight-reading before adjudicators. Approximately 900 students were chosen to perform in one of eight vocal and instrumental ensembles at the conference.
