Tuckahoe School Talk Focuses On Youth Coping Strategies

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – Alec Miller, an acclaimed clinical psychologist, will deliver a presentation about therapeutic approaches to helping troubled youths.

“Coping Strategies for Our Youth” will be held at the William E. Cottle School’s auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m.

It will focus on topics such as understanding emotional vulnerability and understanding nonsuicidal self-injurious behavior.

This event is presented by the Tuckahoe Union Free School District and the Tuckahoe PTA.

Miller is a professor of clinical psychiatry and behavioral sciences.

He is the director of the Adolescent Depression & Suicide Program and associate director of psychology training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He has conducted more than 400 lectures internationally.
