After their parents won an auction item at the Chapel School’s yearly fundraising gala, “The Gathering of Friends,” Principals Simone and Vivian were given authority over the school for a day while Principal James Dhyne watched on.

The third grader and kindergartener had an eventful day in charge, greeting students at the car line, faxing important messages, hosting an assembly in front of the entire Chapel School and even presiding over a fire drill.

“We said good morning to everyone as they got into school,” Vivian said after giving a thumbs up to teachers and students following the successful fire drill. “It was really fun sitting in the rolling chair behind the desk.”
