Immaculate Conception Gala to Pay Tribute to Trio

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Immaculate Conception School in Tuckahoe will pay tribute to its teacher of the year, person of the year and friend of ICS at its annual gala at 8 p.m. April 20 at VIP Country Club in New Rochelle.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Supervisor Anthony Colavito of Eastchester will open the festivities, according to the school. Honorees are Teacher of the Year Kathy Piriano, who has taught pre-K at ICS for many years; Person of the Year Joe Murray, for his many years of service to the ICS community; and Friend of ICS Louis DiNapoli, of Angelina's Restaurant and Pizzeria, for his continuous support of the school, the school said.

The gala is a fundraiser to provide new technological equipment and upgrades to the school, and to allow students access to academic opportunities that the school cannot afford on the tuition payments of the school families alone, the school said. Some of the proceeds will go to help with the cost of building a gym.
