Simpson is the leader of the gardening club at the high school. She wants to continue to help the town look nicer and is seeking donations and partnerships with local nurseries and garden stores. During the summer, she will be maintaining what already has been planted and reaping a harvest of tomatoes, peppers, mint and thyme.

In the fall, she will be getting ready for planting spring bulbs and will be in need of gardening supplies, such as pitch forks, hoses and sprinklers. While she is hopefully optimistic that supplies, such as soil and flowers also will be donated, she would be happy if a nursery or store offered her a deep discount that would allow her to purchase flowers.

If anyone would like to coordinate with Simpson, you can e-mail her at samantha.r.simpson@hotmail.com or through her school advisers Maria Biddle (mbiddle@greenburghcsd.org), Nicole Masi (nmasi@greenburghcsd.org) or Maralyn Brois (mbrois@greenburghcsd.org).
