Eastchester Emphasizes Policy On Use Of Middle School Field

EASTCHESTEER, N.Y. -- Eastchester Middle School is reminding students, parents and visitors to the school about the field use policy for the turf field area behind the school.

Eastchester Middle School officials are asking students, parents and visitors to remember the rules when using the field located behind the school.

School officials said that the following items are prohibited: Food or beverages (except water), animals, smoking, strollers, loitering, golf playing, foul language, chewing gum, sunflower seeds, glass containers, bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, tables, chairs, BBQ grills, metal spikes or cleats. Adult supervision is required for small children.

They would also like to remind visitors that only emergency vehicles are allowed on the field and sneakers or athletic shoes allowed for use on the field. Walkers are asked to use the outside three lanes on the track. The area closes at 10 p.m. nightly.
