The children observed the leaves changing color and collected rocks and leaves to make a collage. Their favorite part of the day was when they were treated to lemonade and cookies.
“We are fortunate to be located a short walk from the school,” said Becca Geminn, teacher at the school. “I just love to see their smiling faces and cheerful giggles as they play in the leaves.”
“We feel it is important to teach children through sensory learning within a developmentally appropriate Christian curriculum,” said Michelle Tween, preschool director at The Chapel School.
“We treat each child as an individual and address their needs accordingly," according to the teachers. “We want to instill a love of learning and creativity in each of our students. We want each of our students to have a lifelong love of learning.”
The dedicated faculty and staff of The Chapel School strive to help students reach their full potential academically, socially and spiritually.
The Chapel School is at 172 White Plains Road in Bronxville. The Chapel School Preschool was voted Best in Westchester this year. Classes feature “In-House Field Trips” that bring fun and fascinating visitors to the campus.
