The week before the exhibit, the students decorated their pumpkins using a variety of supplies they brought to class.

“Each year, they go above and beyond with their creativity on decorating the pumpkins,” sixth-grade science teacher and team leader Frank Viggiani said of the students. “When you walk around to view all the pumpkins, you are simply amazed at some of the ideas the students came up with.”

The students, some working in groups to combine several pumpkins into one theme, completed their creative work during the advisory period, the Viggiani said.
