The foundation is accepting nominations through Feb. 3, 2014. The foundation, established in 1991, consists of 30 people, including one member of the Board of Education, the superintendent of schools, and the vice president of the PTA.
"The directors reflect a broad and diverse cross-section of the community," representatives said. "The Nominating Committee’s primary role is to identify motivated, hard-working leaders for possible nomination to the Bronxville School Foundation."
The committee is considering recommendations from within the board interested individuals. Candidates must be village residents who would work with current board members to raise funds and support grants "that will enhance educational programs in the Bronxville School district," representatives said.
