The foundation gets money from school families, alumni, and the community to support projects that strengthen the experience of Bronxville students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

In its 24 years of service, the foundation has awarded more than $7 million in grants.

Grants focus on pursuing innovative ideas, piloting new programs and providing faculty training, equipment and facilities in areas of science, arts, athletics, technology, and curriculum development.

“We look forward to receiving grant applications that will foster a challenging, creative, and enriched educational environment for Bronxville students,” says Lisa Smith Barr, head of this year's grants committee. “The committee is happy to provide help in developing and researching ideas.”

Applications are available at the foundation's website, along with descriptions of previous grants so applicants can get an idea of what to write about.

The deadline for all applications is Monday, March 2.
