BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The students at Bronxville High School celebrated Spirit Week with games, non-athletic contests, and a pep rally.
The co-presidents of the Athletic Council, seniors Matthew Bettino and Taylor Sears, explained that homecoming is for all students, not just athletes.
Events included bungee-cord beanbag runs, inflatable--sword jousting, pie-eating contests, and a dance-off. The winners earned Mr. and Ms Bronco crowns, making the homecoming royalty a rite of spirit rather popularity.
At the pep rally, students wore the traditional team colors and football jerseys as well as tiaras.
Athletic Council adviser Matt Fisher said the students had been working hard since the beginning of the school year to make this year’s homecoming the best one yet.
