On Thursday, the Board of Education announced the commencement of the national search, and has begun to develop a profile of the qualifications and experience the administration and community seeks in the future superintendent.

According to the Board, there will be an online survey and series of open meetings in September, where the community can interact and discuss their expectations with executive search firm School Leadership LLC, which has been brought in to assist in the search.

“The first step in our process is for the Board to develop a profile of the qualifications and leadership experience necessary to lead our school district to even greater heights,” Board President Denise Torrey and Vice President Jeff Rohr wrote in a letter to parents. “We recognize that a critical part of this process is to obtain your input on the profile of our new superintendent.”

The community-wide open meeting with the search firm will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20. With smaller group meetings the following day.
