The Rotary Club is meeting for breakfast at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Ruby's Oyster Bar & Bistro, 45 Purchase St. Members are encouraged to register online by clicking here:

Killian, a Republican, is challenging state Sen. George Latimer, a Democrat from Rye, this fall.

Killian is a mother of five who has been active in the Westchester community for 25 years as a volunteer for local arts, historical, library and school organizations. A Rye City resident, Killian's love of community is deeply rooted in her life as a mom, volunteer and elected official.

Killian received her bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. While earning her MBA in finance from the New York University Stern School of Business, Killian worked for Merrill Lynch and Citibank.

The Rotary Club's Sept. 30 luncheon meeting, which was to feature a talk by Rye High School Principal Patricia B. Taylor, was cancelled due to the death of one of its members. Taylor will be invited back to speak at a meeting in December, according to Jason L. Mehler, president of Rye Rotary Club.
