Thomas Peterffy and C. Dean Metropoulos, who both previously were listed as Greenwich residents, are now identified as living in Florida, according to the Forbes list.
Peterffy, a Hungarian immigrant and pioneer in electronic stock trading, is worth $11.1 billion, and Metropoulos, an investor and food industry executive who controls Hostess Brands, has $2.4 billion.
According to the Courant, Peterffy's move came as Connecticut's tax on the highest earners rose from 6.7 percent to 6.99 percent, and up from 4.5 percent just a few years ago. Florida has no income tax, and does not tax estates when wealth transfers between generations.
Peterffy's Greenwich estate is on the market for $65 million.
And the Courant said that two more Connecticut billionaires are looking to change their legal addresses to another state.
Connecticut still is home to 13 billionaires, according to Forbes. The state's richest man is Ray Dalio of Greenwich, head of the Bridgewater Associates hedge fund in Westport. He is worth $15.6 billion.
