Tennis Fundraiser Planned For Saturday In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – A tennis fundraiser to support the Oyebog Tennis Academy will be played at Intensity in Norwalk on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 7 p.m.

The fundraiser will feature a pro tournament and a pro-am tournament. Players expected to attend include Stamford native Todd Paul, a former college All-American at Wake Forest who was ranked No. 1 in Division 1 singles, and Javier Ferrin, the recently named director of racquet sports at Aspetuck Valley Country Club in Weston. He was formerly ranked the No. 1 junior in Argentina.

The Oyebog Tennis Academy in Camerron introduces children to tennis. The academy is run by Joseph Oyebog, who provides tennis instruction to tennis players throughout Fairfield County. He returns to Cameroon each winter to help build the academy, which he created in 1999.
