White Plains Cop Injured In Car Crash; Intersection Blocked

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - A White Plains police officer who was in a car accident Tuesday afternoon suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Cottage Place, police said. Hamilton Avenue was closed to eastbound traffic between Cottage Place and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

Police did not have details on the condition of the other driver, who was driving a gray four-door car. Detective Lt. Eric Fishcer described the injuries suffered by the officer as non-life-threatening.
