POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Pound Ridge native Ari Fleischer has been hired by Peyton Manning to help manage the ongoing crisis the NFL quarterback faces, according to the New York Daily News.
Manning was named by Al Jazeera as having bought human growth hormone (HGH) in 2011 to help recover from neck surgery in a report released on Saturday night.
Fleischer, a Fox Lane High School grad, is best known for being the White House press secretary from 2001 to 2003, and has since run a Westchester County-based sports-crisis firm intended to help repair athletes' images, reported the New York Daily News.
He has worked with athletes such as Mark McGwire and Tiger Woods during their media issues.
