"Honored to have you with me, @POTUS," Clinton tweeted in response to Obama's announcement. " I'm fired up and ready to go! -H"

Obama's endorsement comes after an early morning meeting with Clinton's challenger for the Democratic nomination, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Obama and Clinton are expected to campaign together next week in Wisconsin, according to reports.

Clinton has lived in Chappaqua with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, since 1999.

Real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican president nominee, was quick to respond to Obama's endorsement on Twitter.

"Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary." Trump wrote in his tweet. "He wants four more years of Obama—but nobody else does!"

Trump, who owns an estate in Bedford and formerly owned an estate in Greenwich, also owns Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in Stormville and Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor. The Trump name also adorns Trump Tower At City Center in White Plains, Trump Plaza in New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences in Yorktown and the Donald J. Trump State Park on the Westchester/Putnam border.
