The grant will help Hudson River HealthCare’ provide care to vulnerable and uninsured populations in the Hudson Valley. Hudson River HealthCare has offices in Pines Plains, Beacon, Newburgh, and Yonkers.
“Hudson River HealthCare is a main provider of healthcare for low-income, uninsured New Yorkers throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island,” said Senator Schumer. “Hudson River HealthCare is a critical operation, and this federal funding will support its mission to provide high quality care to all those who need it most.
Currently, Hudson River Healthcare supports about 176,000 patients, 31 percent of whom are uninsured. Specifically, this funding supports primary preventative behavioral and oral health care, as well as other services like counseling and translation services for patients in the Hudson Valley
This HHS grant funding has been allocated through the Health Resources & Services Administration.
