YONKERS, N.Y. – A Mitsubishi Montero pulled over for driving on 1-87 in the opposite lane in Yonkers, ended with the arrest of a Peekskill woman, New York Police said.
The car was reportedly traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at approximately 6:40 a.m. Jan. 14 near the I-87 toll booth, state troopers said. A Help Truck assisted police to quickly pull the vehicle over before any incidents.
The driver of the vehicle, Clara Rodriguez, 32, was found to be intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of 0.17 percent, police said,
The defendant was processed in Tarrytown and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She was released on summonses pending a Feb. 22 court appearance in Yonkers.
