Woman Arraigned In Eastchester On Felony Charge In Wrong-Way Hutch Crash

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Police have identified the woman from Pelham who is now facing a felony charge after being involved in a wrong-way crash on the Hutchinson River Parkway earlier this week that injured four people.

Joanna Logan, 42, was charged with a felony charge of reckless endangerment, as well as driving while intoxicated and reckless driving charges, both misdemeanors, for her role in the crash.

According to police spokesman Kieran O’Leary, at approximately 10:40 on Tuesday night, Logan was driving her Honda Accord northbound in the southbound lanes of the Hutchinson River Parkway. She proceeded to collide with three other vehicles south of Weaver Street in New Rochelle.

Logan was seriously injured after striking another motorist, and both were transported to Jacobi Medical Center. The injuries were described as “serious, but not life-threatening.”

Two other drivers were transported to Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle. A third person refused medical attention at the scene of the accident.

Logan was arraigned in Eastchester Town Court and is being held at the Westchester County Jail in lieu of bail. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
