On Monday, Bronxville police announced that 43-year-old Mount Vernon resident Allie Kliegerman was arrested earlier this month after a 15-year-old boy complained that she had struck him and attempted to take his cell phone.

According to police, at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Friday, March 17, officers received two independent phone calls and a 911 emergency call reporting a dispute at the taxi stand between an "irate" woman and the teenager. The 15-year-old alleged that the woman had struck him with her purse, placed him in a headlock and scratched him in an effort to take his cell phone away as he was recording her behavior.

Kliegerman was subsequently arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child for “acting in a manner likely to be injurious to a person under the age of 17” and second-degree harassment. She was arraigned in front of Judge George McKinnis and is due back in Bronxville Justice Court later this year.
