Two Men Injured In South Norwalk Drive-By Shooting

NORWALK, Conn. -- Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting in South Norwalk late Monday night, police said.

The shooting occurred in the area of South Main Street and Raymond Street shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, police said. A 27-year-old man walked into police headquarters and told officers that he had been shot. He had suffered a non-life-threatening injury to his hip, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the area and found a 60-year-old man sitting on the sidewalk, police said. He had also been shot in the hip, police said. Both men were taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment, police said.

Witnesses told officers that somebody had driven by and fired seven or eight shots, police said. Officers collected shell casings at the scene, and detectives are following up on leads. Police said the investigation is ongoing into the incident.
