BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Detectives with the Bronxville Police Department are investigating a suspicious incident where a man attempted to pose as a repossession agent, claiming he was there to take his car off a homeowner's hands for lack of payment.

A Lookout Avenue homeowner reported to police shortly after noon on Nov. 22 that an unknown man came to his door claiming to be the repossession agent looking to take his car due to an overdue balance.

Police said when the man was confronted and challenged about the validity of his claim, he said nothing and proceeded to simply leave the area. Police were unable to track him down, though the incident is under active investigation.

Other items on the Bronxville Police Department blotter from Nov. 11 through Nov. 28 include:
