Shortly after noon on Sunday, April 2, officers were dispatched to an Alexander Avenue home following a report of an unconscious woman who had possibly overdosed, Yonkers Police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said on Monday. Upon arrival, officers reported that the female was in a lifeless state.
According to police, the preliminary investigation at the scene yielded information that the woman may have ingested a controlled substance, though further analysis is pending investigation from the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives from the Major Case Squad, Narcotics Unit and Crime Scene Unit are currently investigating the incident in coordination with the Medical Examiner. The identity of the woman is being withheld by police pending family notification.
