The following people are running this year for fire commissioner for a term of five years: Anthony Lore Sr., Wallace Street, Tuckahoe; Brian E. Keating, Ewart Street, Eastchester (Scarsdale post office).

The Fire District election is routinely overlooked by Eastchester residents, as less than 4 percent of eligible voters turn out. The approved 2015 budget for The Eastchester Fire District is $17.3 million and directly impacts residents’ tax assessment.

Voting will take place at the following areas:

Eastchester: 

  • Eastchester Town Hall at 40 Mill Road.
  • LeRoy Gregory Post 979, 40 Bell Road, behind Equinox Gym.
  • Union Corners Fire Station, 10 Oregon Ave.

Tuckahoe:

  • Tuckahoe Community Center, 71 Columbus Ave.

Bronxville:

  • Bronxville Village Hall, 200 Pondfield Road.
