Drunken Restaurant Incident, Stolen iPad Top Bronxville Police Blotter

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Police intervention was required at a Bronxville restaurant recently after a man allegedly was involved in a drunken incident with an employee.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, police were dispatched to Underhills Crossing on Pondfield Road, following reports of a man from Tuckahoe who had allegedly “verbally berated and physically pushed the face of a restaurant employee,” police said.

According to police, officers responded to the 911 call and were able to identify the man from a copy of his transaction. He was tracked down at the corner of Park Place, where he was allegedly intoxicated.

Police said that they took the man to Lawrence Hospital for an evaluation. The restaurant employee declined to pursue legal action at the time.

Other items on the Bronxville Police Department blotter from Monday, May 22 through Sunday, May 28 include:

  • On Thursday, May 25, police were dispatched to ACME on Cedar Street, where the store manager reported that he recognized a man in the store who had stolen in the past. Police said that the man left before officers could arrive at the scene, fleeing in a dark-colored sedan. No items were reported missing. According to police, both this and the previous incident are being investigated.
  • Over the weekend, a Studio Lane resident reported to police that a 2017 Mercedes-Benz had been entered overnight and an iPad was stolen. Police said the vehicle was unlocked and the alarm was not on. The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
