Construction will begin late August/early September for a $1.9 million roadway improvement project in the Village of Ardsley involving the widening of Route 9A (Saw Mill River Road) from Ashford Avenue to Heatherdell Road by one lane, which will substantially increase the length of the existing southbound right-turn lane to Ashford Avenue and add a northbound left-turn lane to the Colonial Court shopping area.
Other related improvements include new sidewalks, crosswalks, a relocated bus shelter, and enhanced signage.
The project is being constructed in connection with the Ridge Hill development in the City of Yonkers and is anticipated to be complete in 2015.
