BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Ruth Nehring Beshears Cobb, a Bronxville resident who formerly lived in Yonkers, died Sept. 29. She was 93.
Cobb was born Dec. 9, 1918, in New York City to Frederick and Helene Nehring. She lived most of her life in Crestwood, Westchester Hills and Lawrence Park West in Bronxville. She then retired to Meadowview at the Wartburg in Mount Vernon.
She receive a bachelor's degree in economics from Wellesley College in 1940. She was married to John L. Beshears Jr., who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Jess Cobb.
Cobb is survived by two sons, John (Eleanor) Beshears III, of San Francisco, and David (Barbara) Beshears, of Brewster, N.Y.; a sister, Grace Wolf, of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services have not been announced. Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester is handling arrangements.
