BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Michael F. Woods, of Bronxville, died June 19. He was 85.
Woods graduated from Regis High School and Fordham University, serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and graduating from New York Law School after his service ended.
He worked as the state Deputy Commissioner of Commerce and retired as the vice president of the state Power Authority.
He was the husband of the late Helen; father of Teresa W. (Shaun) Daley, Stephen (Cindy) and Michael (Sherry); grandfather of five; and brother of Sister Mary Denis (Imelda), Connie Fonseca and the late Joan and Patricia. He also is survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Visiting hours are from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, 20 Cedar St., Bronxville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church, 15 Cedar St., Bronxville.
