Belsito was born to Alfonso and Lucitania Tapia. Professionally, she was a successful certified fundraising executive at various organizations in New York and in Kansas City, including The Allen-Stevenson School, The Pembroke Hill School, American Lung Association, Rose Brooks Center, Mattie Rhodes Center, Futuro Media Group, and The Wartburg Adult Care Community. She was a native of Ecuador. She served as a board member of the Mount Vernon Star Scholars, volunteered at El Centro Hispano, and aided the parish van service for the Church of St. Joseph in Bronxville. An active alumnus of Vassar College, she served as the co-chair of the Annual Fund.
Belsito is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald Belsito; daughters, Monica, Vanessa, and Christina; siblings, Marcos Tapia, Gustavo Tapia, Fabian Tapia, and Grace Ranken; many in-laws; cousins; nieces, nephews; and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, Oct. 28 at the Church of St. Joseph.
