Lucy Rogan Carlesimo, 93, Bronxville Resident

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Lucy Agatha Rogan Carlesimo, of Bronxville, died Saturday, April 9. She was 93.

She was the wife of the late Pete Carlesimo; mother of 10 children, P.J., Cheryl, Gregg, Mark, Kevin, Tara, Mari, Sean, Rogan, and Cory; grandmother of 13; sister of Florita Caines; aunt to many nieces and nephews; and friend to many.

Before her husband’s passing in 2003, after 54 years of marriage, they had exciting years together at the University of Scranton and Fordham University, her husband's alma mater, where he was athletic director and later became the first full-time director of the National Invitational Tournament. They traveled with NIT teams all over the world, and they followed with great pride their oldest son P.J's. career as a college, Olympic and NBA coach. Her Catholic faith remained a great comfort to her as she battled different ailments through the last few years.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, April 13, from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, 20 Cedar St., Bronxville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 14, at 10 a.m. at Chapel at Fordham University at Rose Hill, Bronx.
