Frances Gregg Petersmeyer, 93, Formerly Of Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Frances Gregg Petersmeyer, 93, a former resident of Bronxville, died in Washington, D.C. Nov. 10. 

She was born in Little Rock, Ark., and grew up in Memphis, Tenn., the eldest of four daughters to Irene Calhoun Gregg and Russell C. Gregg.

She graduated from Lausanne School in Memphis and from Sweet Briar College in Virginia. She worked for the Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis during the war, where met and married Charles Wrede Petersmeyer, They were married for 52 years when he died in 1996.

Petersmeyer was also predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Gregg Lewis of Memphis, Tenn. and Emily Gregg of Fayetteville, Ark.

Petersmeyer is survived by: her children: Susan Petersmeyer of Camden, Me.; Gregg Petersmeyer and his wife Julie of Bethesda, Md.; Nancy Petersmeyer MD of Philadelphia, Penn.;, 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and by her sister, Mary Gregg Loeb of Eads, Tenn.

A memorial service will be held in Washington, D.C.
