BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Wendy Sturges Ruhm, a Bronxville native living in New York City, died June 7 after a battle with brain cancer. She was 36.
Born Sept. 19, 1975, in Manhattan, N.Y., Ruhm attended the Bronxville schools, Georgetown School of Foreign Service, the Sorbonne, Science Politique and London School of Economics.
Acting in theatrical productions throughout her school years and Quogue summers, Ruhm joined The Blue Hill Troupe when she moved to New York. An active troupe member, Ruhm particularly enjoyed designing the programs.
Ruhm worked as an investment analyst at Bramwell Capital Management, part of Sentinel Management. A photographer, she also assembled a collection of photographs from her many travels. Her family said she had a bubbling optimism, an infectious enthusiasm and an unparalleled gift for nurturing family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Michele and Thomas Ruhm; a brother, Tom Ruhm; and numerous family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. July 15 at Christ Church in Bronxville. Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home in Bronxville is handling the arrangements.
