Bronxville Celebrates The Life Of Patricia Fine

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — Countless residents showed up Thursday morning to pay their respects to Patricia L. Fine, an active member of the Bronxville community who died Sunday. She was 74.

Fine was a leading member of several Bronxville organizations, including the Anne Hutchinson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, of which she was an officer. She was also a former president of the Bronxville Women's Club and worked closely with the Boulder Ledge Garden Club.

Fine's son was one of several people who offered remembrances of his mother.

“I remember how she loved to read, I remember how she loved to visit her little farm in Pennsylvania, I remember how she loved the music of John Lennon and The Beatles, I remember how proud she was to be a Daughter of the American Revolution, I remember how she loved all animals, plants and nature, and I remember how she taught me to never give up,” he said. “She stole a little bit of all of our hearts, but gave it back in dividends whenever we needed her to.”

Fine was described as a magnetic, dynamic person. She was the life of the party, a person everyone wanted to get to know. Bronxville Mayor Mary Marvin summed it up  when she wrote that Fine was "truly a village treasure."

Memorial gifts may be given to The American Cancer Soceity.
