Adelaide 'Bunny' Carlson, Of Bronxville, 89

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Adelaide T. (Bunny) Carlson, a Bronxville resident, died at age 89 on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers.

Born on Sept. 17, 1925, in The Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Adelaide (Delaney) and Henry DeWeese Murty.

She was a graduate of White Plains High School, Class of 1944. She married Franklin C. Carlson, who predeceased her in 1987.

She was employed for many years by Bristol-Myers Squibb and, prior to that, Arabian-American Oil Co. and Union Carbon and Carbide. She had been a member of Echo Bay Yacht Club in Scarsdale, St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yonkers and the Senior Citizens of Bronxville.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Kevin Gilson, Eileen Paglia (and husband Larry), Michael Tuohy (and wife Barbara), Ann Tuohy, Maureen Turner (and husband Paul), and Eileen Martin (and husband Kevin). She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews as well as longtime friend Kenneth Scharfenberg.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Gilson and her husband, Anthony; Muriel Weirauch and her husband, Otto; Florence Murty; and Eleanor Tuohy and her husband, Joseph.

A funeral service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, by the Rev. Robert Boehler in Westchester Funeral Home Inc., 190 Main St., Eastchester. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Westchester Funeral Home. Interment will take place on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Tarrytown.
