EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man's car was impounded today when cops discovered he was driving with a suspended license.
Albert Ruggiere, 36, was speeding on Mill Road in Eastchester at 9 a.m. when he was pulled over by police.
After the standard check of his license and registration, police discovered Ruggiere's license had been suspended in 2009 for failing to respond to a ticket in Long Island.
Police impounded his car, a 2011 Hyundai, and issued Ruggiere two summonses, one for speeding and one for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
Ruggiere is due in town court on January 12.
