BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Giovanni Roselli spent 10 years banging between the ropes in World Wrestling Entertainment, better known as the WWE, and now he'll use ropes to help people get fit at the Bronxville Adult School.
After injuries knocked Roselli, or "Romeo" as he was known during his 10 years with the WWE, out of the ring he became a fitness instructor. He is about to start his second semester as a teacher with the adult school. G-Fit is his new training program he will introduce to his students in a class that will be available this fall. Every week, the classes are going to be more challenging, but if you come each week, you will be able to get through all of them," he said. "Each class is going to be tailored to that particular class and their particular goals. Rosellis G-Fit classes will use unconventional techniques, such as the Battling Ropes, which is strength and conditioning ropes using thick, heavy ropes. Though the fitness regimen may sound challenging, Roselli said the biggest challenge of the class is staying fit through the rest of the week.
I want to make sure Im a part of their fitness when theyre not with me," he said. "G-fits just one component, and hopefully they can take that and use it outside of the adult school as well. Even though his wrestling physique looks intimidating, Roselli said hes eager to help. Im going to get the most out of you," Roselli said. "Its not just going to be a drill sergeant with a whistle, its going to be a specific and tailored class, and Im looking forward to it.
