What To Do This Week Around Bronxville

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – New Year’s Eve celebrations at Depot Square, the Bronxville Women’s Club and Growlers Beer Bistro highlight the events scheduled around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this week.

Monday, Dec. 31

New Year’s Eve: Tuckahoe Village Hall will be closed.

New Year’s Eve luncheon:  12 p.m. There will be a Chinese buffet luncheon from Oriental Palace at the Bronxville Women’s Club. Watch celebrations from Australia, Japan and other countries as they ring in 2013. $20 for members; $25 for non-members. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.

New Year’s at Growlers: 4 p.m. Growler’s Beer Bistro will open at 4 p.m. with its regular menu. There will be two dinner seatings at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. and a champagne toast at midnight. 25 Main St., Tuckahoe.

New Year’s celebration: 10:30 p.m. Tuckahoe will ring in the new year with a party at the Generoso Pope Foundation with a live DJ and band. 1 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

New Year’s Day: Eastchester Town Hall and Tuckahoe Village Hall are closed. Both the Eastchester and Tuckahoe libraries will also be closed for the holiday.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

Schools Open: Eastchester and Tuckahoe schools will reopen after winter recess.

Town Board meeting: 7 p.m. The Eastchester Town Board will host its first meeting of the new year. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.

Thursday, Jan. 3

Teen Book Club: 4 p.m. Teens can discuss works of fiction and non-fiction at the Tuckahoe Public Library. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Maccabi Games Information meeting: 7:30 p.m. Learn more about the 2013 JCC Maccabi Games, for Jewish teenagers ages 13 through 16. 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale.
