TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- Two drivers with suspended insurance were caught in Tuckahoe thanks to the license plate readers installed on police cars.
The LPR alerted Tuckahoe Police on Dec 5 at 4:53 pm. Police stopped Javier Valencia, 35 of New Rochelle after the alert indicated he was driving with a suspended registration due to a lack of insurance.
Police impounded the car and issued Valencia several tickets.
Earlier on same day the LPR indicated an expired registration and inspection on a car parked on Yonkers Avenue. Police removed the license plates from the vehicle, a 2007 Nissan, and issued several tickets.
