Tuckahoe's Koala Park Daycare Collects Food Donations

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- Koala Park Daycare in Tuckahoe is collecting food for needy Eastchester families for Thanksgiving.

Koala Park is seeking the following general food items to donate to the Eastchester Community Action Partnership: canned tuna, salmon, ham, chicken and beef; hot and cold cereal; dry or canned beans; pasta and pasta sauce; rice; pancake mix; macaroni and cheese; and canned fruits.

Donations of holiday-specific items are also being sought, including: turkeys, hams and oven-stuffer chickens; stuffing; canned vegetables; salt, pepper and seasoning packets; cranberry sauce; mashed potatoes; pie crusts and fillings; canned milk; candied yams; gravy; and biscuits.

Donors can drop off your items in the dedicated donation box at the day care center entrance. Koala Park personnel will deliver all donations to ECAP by Friday.
