BRONXVILLE N.Y. – Trick or treating activities will not be permitted in Bronxville Wednesday evening by the police department because of damage to public and private property by Hurricane Sandy.

Bronxville continues to operate under a state of emergency, said Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale.

“We hope that you cooperate and understand that under the existing conditions – which will not be resolved by tomorrow evening – it would not be prudent to authorize trick or treating activities while these dangerous conditions exist,” he said in a statement.
