In February, five teens, including two from Bronxville, were detained by police for underage drinking and drinking alcohol in public.
A month later, Bronxville police had to take two Bronxville teens, both under the age of 16, to Lawrence Hospital because of alcohol poisoning.
As a result of such drinking incidents, Bronxville Police stepped up patrols to the tune of $4,000 in overtime.
As a result of the high level of underage drinking, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore warned Bronxville about the dangers of teen drinking.
However, a little more than a month later, Bronxville Police responded to a noise complaint at an Oakledge Road home and found open beer cans and between 15 and 20 teens running from the home.
There also have been several cases of drinking and driving in Bronxville.
Edgar Salomon, 18, from New Rochelle, was pulled over while driving in Bronxville and registered a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit, Bronxville police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, and his car was impounded.
