Teenage Party, Larceny, More on Bronxville Blotter

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- A teenage party was broken up and two other arrests made, according to items on the recent police blotter.

Police were called to a home on Paddington Circle at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, according to police. Evidence of an underage drinking party was found and 11 Bronxville youths were detained until their parents arrived to pick them up, police said. There were no injuries and no arrests stemming from the incident.

A Sarah Lawrence student was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 25. The student, 18, from Providence, R.I., was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. The student allegedly stole $250 worth of clothing from the Yum Yum Tree on Pondfield Road in Bronxville. Police did not release the name of the student because they said she may be eligible for youthful offender status.The student is due in Village Court April 18.

A Yonkers man was charged with an unclassified misdemeanor for driving with a suspended registration.

The Dodge van being driven by Samual Awuku, 48, was impounded at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday when the license plate reader determined five parking tickets had not been paid, police said. Awuku is due back in Village Court March 21.

Police received a report Feb. 27 from the owner of a Chevrolet van parked in Stoneleigh Plaza. The owner of the vehicle reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., the window of the van was broken and a table saw, valued at $200, and a skill saw, valued at $150, were taken. Police said an investigation into the theft is ongoing.
