In a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court ruled government subsidies that make health insurance affordable for millions of Americans should be available to all.

Approximately 6.5 million across the country use Obamacare.

The ruling is considered a huge victor for President Obama and his legacy and also beneficial to the presidential campaign of Chappaqua resident Hillary Clinton.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion for himself, Justices Anthony Kennedy, Sonia Sotomayor, Stephen G. Breyer, Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote the dissent, joined by Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.
