WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Elisah Duncan, the New York City Police officer who had gone missing after last being seen Wednesday night at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, has been found safe, according to reports.

Duncan, 46, was found alone in his car in the Bronx late Friday after a wide search was launched following his disappearance. According to WCBS, he was found to be in good health.

According to a report in the New York Daily News, Duncan may have been in possession of $40,000 he had collected from his police colleagues for a group trip to see the Giants' game Sunday in Seattle.

Surveillance video appeared to show that Duncan went to Empire Casino in Yonkers, possibly gambling with the money he collected, the Daily News reported.

Duncan, a 16-year NYPD veteran who worked in the 46th Precinct, had been described as being depressed prior to his disappearance, according to reports.

It was not determined if the money was returned when Duncan was found, according to WCBS. Duncan was scheduled to receive a psychiatric evaluation late Friday, WCBS reported.
