Minor Wrecks, Safety Checks Keep Bronxville Cops Busy

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Five car accidents — none with injuries — have been reported in Bronxville since last Tuesday, according to Bronxville police reports.

Bronxville officers checked 11 alarms, all of which were triggered in error, in area neighborhoods, according to police reports.

Motorists were advised to exchange insurance information at each accident, police said. Two cars collided on Stone Place at about 11 a.m. Wednesday. A similar incident occurred at Stoneleigh Plaza at 4:30 p.m. the same day.

Police were also called at about 9 p.m. Thursday to Masterson Road, mid-morning Saturday to 77 Pondfield Road and at noon Monday to Paxton Avenue to check on reported accidents, police reports said.

Officers also assisted two drivers who were locked out of their cars. Fire officials confirmed checking on two fire alarms sounded in error during the week, police said.
